Education Program Completed in South Australia
If you are currently registered or enrolled in South Australia and completed the education program for your additional qualification in South Australia, your application will be processed under the Nurses Act 1999. You are eligible to register your qualification once you have received advice from the education provider of the successful completion of your program. You will be required to return your Certificate of Registration or Enrolment (also known as practising certificate) so it can be updated with your new qualification.
Under the Nurses Act 1999 you will need to provide:
- a completed application form;
- identification which must indicate full legal name and date of birth;
- documented evidence of change of name (if name varies on documentation);
- your final academic transcript;
- your current Certificate of Registration or Enrolment;
- payment of the Additional Qualification fee (badge optional).
If you are currently enrolled in South Australia and have just completed your registered nurse education program, you must provide a statement authorising the Nurses Board to remove your name from the roll so that you may be placed on the register. In South Australia a nurse is not able to hold both enrolment and registration.
If you wish to register in person, you must make an appointment to do so on 08 8366 5566. The registration process takes between 15-20 minutes.
