APPROVED EDUCATION PROGRAMS LEADING TO ENROLMENT
The Board recognises the Diploma of Nursing as the approved qualification that will lead to enrolment as a nurse in South Australia.
The new National Health Training Package HLT07, which includes HLT51607 Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 nursing) is now available in South Australia through nine (9) Registered Training Organisations (RTO's).
The nine (9) nbsa accredited education providers include:
Australian Nursing Federation (ANF)
Celtic Training and Consultancy Pty Ltd
Central Northern Adelaide Health Service (CNAHS) – Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH)
Kranz International College (KIC)
NursEd (Nursing Agency of Australia)
Nursing Dynamics (Carers Training Centre Pty Ltd)
Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS)
The program previously available - 39037QLD Diploma of Nursing (Pre-enrolment) [customised version for South Australia] is accredited by the Nurses Board of South Australia (nbsa) for continuing students only until 31 December 2008. Students who do not complete 39037QLD Diploma of Nursing (Pre-enrolment) [customised version for South Australia] by 31 December 2008 will be required to transition into the new national qualification, HLT51607 Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 nursing).
Note. Students who were not enrolled in the customised South Australian version of 39037QLD Diploma of Nursing (Pre-enrolment) prior to 31 December 2007 with an approved nbsa education provider cannot be guaranteed enrolment as a nurse in South Australia.
